Parents and Friends
Our School
The P&F network provides a formal structure for parents to engage in school activities and decision-making processes.
Representing the interests of the entire parent body, the P&F works collaboratively to support the school and foster a strong sense of community for the benefit of all students and their families.
This active and enthusiastic committee plays a vital role in supporting the school and greatly benefits from your ongoing involvement and support. P&F meetings are held twice each term, with dates and times communicated through the school newsletter. All parents are warmly invited to attend, contribute ideas, and participate in discussions. The school benefits significantly from the P&Fâs fundraising efforts, including a $54 annual contribution per family, which supports various initiatives. Additionally, the P&F organises a variety of events for students and parents throughout the year, with information shared via the newsletter, P&F representatives (WhatsApp messaging), Term Planners, and flyers displayed around the school. The P&F can be contacted via email:
Class Representatives
The role of a Class Representative serves as a vital communication link between families, the Emmaus P&FM Executive, teachers, and the school administration. This role can be shared by two or more representatives per class, ensuring a collaborative and supportive approach. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and distributing a class contact list to families (noting that some families may choose not to share their details).
- Organising welcome morning teas for new parents and sharing relevant class information (e.g., class contact list).
- Arranging social gatherings such as morning teas, meals, or family activities to foster a sense of community.
- Attending P&F meetings to provide updates and share information with parents who cannot attend.
- Liaising with parents on behalf of the P&F, such as coordinating donations for events (e.g., baked goods for morning/afternoon teas or fundraisers).
- Supporting families in need at the Principal’s request, such as coordinating meal donations anonymously from other class families.
Parents interested in serving as Class Representatives are encouraged to nominate at the beginning of the school year via email to the P&F:
